“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” ~ C.S. Lewis

“The next time you’re feeling bad, rather than fight it, try to relax. See if, instead of panicking, you can be graceful and calm. Know that if you don’t fight your negative feelings, if you are graceful, they will pass away just as surely as the sun sets in the evening.” ~ Richard Carlson, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

“The first step in becoming a more peaceful person is to have the humility to admit that, in most cases, you’re creating your own emergencies. Life will usually go on if things don’t go according to plan.” ~ Richard Carlson, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

“As we learn in Zen philosophy, when you learn to ‘let go’ of problems instead of resisting with all your might, your life will begin to flow.” ~ Richard Carlson, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

Sometimes, people never get what they deserve because they're too busy holding on to things they're supposed to let go of.

“Learning to let go should be learned before learning to get. Life should be touched, not strangled. You’ve got to relax, let it happen at times, and at others move forward with it.” ~ Ray Bradbury

Ah yes, the past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it. ~ The Lion King

"Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know." ~ Pema Chodron

You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy.

When life's tough, remember, you are tougher.

“When you are in deep distress and cannot restrain some expression of it, sit down and write out a harsh letter venting your anger. But don’t send it.” ~ Donald T. Phillips, Lincoln on Leadership

"Nothing is permanent in this wicked world, not even our troubles." ~ Charlie Chaplin

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on." ~ Robert Frost

                                She is Gone!

You can shed tears that she is gone,

or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,

or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,

or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,

or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her only that she is gone,

or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,

be empty and turn your back.

Or you can do what she’d want:

smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

                                  ~ David Harkins

Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?
