“When you were born you were crying and everyone else was smiling. Live your life so at the end, your’re the one who is smiling and everyone else is crying.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Take Each Day As It Comes

      Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
      Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,
      with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.

      ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.

I'm gonna make the rest of my life, the best of my life.

“Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.” ~ Bruce Barton

              Three simple rules in life:

“Life to me is the greatest of all games.  The danger lies in treating it as a trivial game, a game to be taken lightly, and a game in which the rules don’t matter much.  The rules matter a great deal.  The game has to be played fairly or it is no game at all.  And even to win the game is not the chief end.  The chief end is to win it honorably and splendidly.” ~ Sir Ernest Shackleton

“We cannot put off living until we are ready. The most salient characteristic of life is its urgency, ‘here and now’ without any possible postponement. Life is fired at us point-blank.” ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

"Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time." ~ Dalai Lama

Top 10 Words of Wisdom by Mahatma Ghandi: Pass it on!

“Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than out-and-out exposure, and the fearful are captured just as frequently as the bold.” ~ Unknown

“The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.” ~ Ndukwe Dike Kalu

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

“I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.” ~ Ian Fleming

“I have learned to live my life one step, one breath, and one moment at a time, but it was a long road. I set out on a journey of love, seeking truth, peace and understanding. I am still learning.” ~ Muhammad Ali

“The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike, timid and fearful in the face of bold projects and new ideas. Rather, it will belong to those who can blend passion, reason and courage in a personal commitment to [their] ideals.” ~ Robert F. Kennedy

“The need for devotion to something outside ourselves is even more profound than the need for companionship. If we are not to go to pieces or wither away, we must have some purpose in life; for no man can live for himself alone.” ~ Ross Parmenter

“When it comes time to die, let us not discover that we have never lived. ” ~ Henry David Thoreau
