Introduction: The Power of Questions
Questions can help us obtain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world we live in when crafted and reflected upon correctly. Poorly crafted, rash questions will result in lame answers. Superiorly crafted, provocative questions will result in insightful answers. The quality of the question changes everything. The process works like this:
…A question gets asked, a void is created, and the mind – like a vacuum – works to fill that void with an answer almost instantaneously. So the opportunity is this: Start asking yourself better questions and you can immediately start getting better answers.
Your mind will fill the void—the quality is the variable. And if you’re not careful, that void can easily be filled with drama, junk, distractors, and nonsense—and we simply can’t afford the setback that comes with poorly crafted, rash, lame questions. We have to set ourselves up for success by going deeper and being mindful of the quality with which we ask questions. But where to start?

…Change your life by changing the DIRECTION of your life in 30 days. Or your money back.
That is precisely what the Book of Questions by Gregory Stock serves as: An entire book of thought provoking questions that will challenge your values, beliefs, and understanding of the world and will help you find out more clearly who you are, what you believe, and what role you’re going to play in the world.
In other words, it’s an entire book of questions that you simply9 can’t, “Google”—as pointed out by author Austin Kleon. When your mind is stuck repeating the same lame questions day in and day out: Why is my life so hard? Why did this have to happen to me? Why am I such a mess up? …You slowly become a product of the answers to those questions. You have to break the pattern! …Shift your mindset! ..And start controlling the focus of your mind!
Kevin Kelly, Senior Maverick at Wired and author of What Technology Wants remarked, “Your answers to these questions will help us decide what humans should be. Take your time.” We encourage you to do the same. Take your time. Dig deep. And remember that beyond helping you figure out who you are, properly crafted questions can help you immediately change your state! …Never forget that power that’s available to you at all times. Enjoy!
