“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.”
Melody Beattie
Beyond the Quote (Day 369)
My goals for 2021:
1) On writing: Continue to write daily, but be more concise and deliberate in what I write. I’m limiting myself to a max of 3 paragraphs per reflection.
2) On productivity: In 2020 I was working from the second I woke up until the second I went to bed—it was too much. My goal this year is to add in more structured down time—time to relax, recharge, and not do anything. I suspect that it will exponential help my productivity for when I do work.
3) On time management: Because I was always working so late at night, I would go to bed late, which would cause me to wake up late, and repeat the cycle the next day of feeling like I was always behind. This year, my goal is to be in bed by 11pm and up by 7am. I want to feel ahead of my days, not behind.
